Although Mastervolt generators are already mounted on rubber dampers to counteract high-frequency vibrations, it may be worthwhile to place an extra set of dampers between the chassis and the base plate.

Noise is not only carried through the air but also via the materials of which the boat or vehicle is made. This is called contact noise, which is actually high-frequency vibrations resonating from the materials surrounding the generator. This is more difficult to tackle than air-transmitted noise measured in decibels. These mounts are part of the available complete anti-vibration rubber mounting kit. The generator, when being used, will start vibrating no matter what. This is comparable to your washing machine at home, although not as intensive. To prevent these annoying vibrations from being transferred to your ship and causing more noise, anti-vibration mounts can be installed. Adding a base plate will only increase the results.
